Restaurant La Tegala – Traditional Canarian Cuisine
Welcome to La Tegala - one of the leading restaurants in Lanzarote.
Owned by the former proprietors of Le Era Restaurant in Yaiza, which was famous for its exemplary cooking and championing of traditional island cuisine, La Tegala offers classic Canarian dishes with a modern twist.
We offer a selection of cold and warm starters, such as a terrine of foie gras served with quince and palm tree honey, fried goats cheese from El Hierro with coriander Mojo and a tomato sorbet and ropa vieja – which is a traditional Canarian staple of chick peas and cuttlefish which roughly translates as Old Clothes but which tastes a whole lot better than it sounds! You can view our full menu here.
Main courses include a wide selection of fish and meat choices such as marinaded rabbit, candied suckling pig and locally caught cherne or stone bass, along with many other delicious dishes. All of which can be enjoyed alongside our wide range of excellent local wines. And to finish we offer some tempting home-made treats too, such as warm dark chocolate soufflé with ice cream and apple mousse.
We hope that you can join us soon and we look forward to welcoming you to La Tegala.
